The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) regularly seeks input from the communities most impacted by grant programs as a part of the review process. Having community input is essential therefore the Office of American Indian Health (OAIH) is collecting a list of people with experience in American Indian communities. If you are interested, please email Health.OAIH@state.mn.us to share your areas of interest and your resume. They will reach out as RFPs are posted.

Fall means it is time to start preparing the State of Minnesota's Annual SNAP-Ed Report that is due to the USDA. These reports help us showcase the excellent work that took place during fiscal year 2025.

We will be using the NPEARS system to submit our data. NPEARS is open for reporting now.

    Summary of the reporting process

    1. Grantees (called implementing agencies in NPEARS) prepare and submit drafts of their program's activities in FFY2025. Due date for submitting the report is Dec. 31.

    2. SNAP-Ed Grant Managers (aka Veronica and Rachel) review drafts and work with you to finalize.

    3. SNAP-Ed Grant Managers also prepare a state summary.

    4. Grantee reports and state summary are submitted to USDA through NPEARS by Jan. 31, 2026.

    Your next steps

    1. Make sure you can access NPEARS. If you need assistance accessing the system, please let Veronica and Rachel know.

    2. Make sure all SEEDS data is up to date, at least through September.

    3. Run an error report and resolve any data errors. Patti Held with Software Touch can help with this. Email her at pheld@softwaretouch.com

    4. Run an NPEARS upload report from SEEDS.

    5. Upload import template to NPEARS.

    6. Complete the narrative parts of the report in NPEARS.

    7. Submit report in NPEARS by Dec. 31.
