The Minnesota Department of Children, Youth, and Families is launching a major modernization of the Social Services Information System. The new Child Welfare Information System will replace the SSIS platform’s child welfare tool, which has been in place for more than 25 years.

The goal is to build a modern system that meets federal rules called the Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System.

  • As a follow-up to our Child Welfare Focus Groups, we would like to gather your feedback on engagement. Your input will help ensure a smooth transition by identifying potential challenges, communication preferences, and engagement needs.

    Your feedback will support the Change Management Team in developing effective communication, training, and support strategies that address your concerns and help you throughout this process.

    All responses will remain confidential and no identifying information will be collected. The information you provide will be consolidated and used to shape our overall change management approach and engagement activities.

    How Your Feedback Will Be Used
    The insights collected through this survey will help:

    • Develop communication and training plans tailored to stakeholder needs.

    • Identify potential risks related to system adoption.

    • Create opportunities for greater collaboration, clarity, and transparency during the transition.
