CCAP registration and renewalprocesses have changed
As of April 28, 2025, Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP)child care provider registration, renewal, and maintenanceshifted to a centralized systemadministered by theDepartment of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) Provider Support Team. This meanschild care providers no longer need to maintain CCAP registrations with multiple CCAP agencies (counties, Tribes and subcontracted agencies). Child careproviders only need tomaintain their CCAP registration with DCYF. Additionally, all registered CCAP providers have the option to access MEC² PRO and submit Billing Forms electronically. These changes make it faster and easier for providers to register for CCAP and receive payments.
Tools available for child care providers to register, renew, or maintain their CCAP status
DCYF offers two tools for providers to manage their CCAP registration.

CCAP processes that did not change
The requirements to register as a provider did not change. Local agencies continue to process bills, issue payments to CCAP providers, and manage families’CCAP cases.
The CCAP Provider Management tool in the Provider Hub
The Provider Hub is a website that thestate of Minnesota uses to manage provider's child care information.Using the CCAP Provider Management tool in the Provider Hub,child care providerscan:
Register for CCAP
Renew their CCAP registration
Report changes to their CCAP information
View their CCAP notices
Steps to accessthe CCAP Provider Management tool:
Log into the Provider Hub.
Locate the "More" tab on the top ribbon in the Provider Hub.
Under "More", you will see a button for "CCAP". Click here to access CCAP information. NOTE:Only Provider Hub users with delegated authority access can submit CCAP information using the Provider Hub.
The CCAP Provider Forms Submission site
The CCAP Provider Forms Submission site is a form submission page for providers who are not required to use the Provider Hub. Using the CCAP Provider Forms Submission Site, child care providers canselect provider type and the action they want to take (register, renew, or submit a change). The page will identify necessary documents and forms providers must complete.
